My name is Phoebe Rose Hutcheson, I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland where I was born and raised. Phoebe Rose Design was born out of my love for slow craft, history, Folklore & nature. 

Having graduated from Leith school of Art in 2015 with the fine art award, I then went on to open my first small business, along with my mother, called Dahlia. Dahlia, our shop was located in Marchmont in the south of Edinburgh. Dahlia was a combination of my passions including indoor plants, art prints from local artists & thoughtful, quality gifts. Slowly over the years I began to start selling my own artworks along side local artists in store, I began by pressing homegrown flowers, mounting them onto cards and also framing them. After 5 years in business we closed Dahlia’s doors for the last time in October 2023. 

With a background since in product design I have been lucky enough to travel to India & Morocco where I have experienced working first hand with artisans collaboratively designing block print patterns, embroidery designs & more. 

Phoebe Rose pieces are a physical interpretation of everything I love. Heavily inspired by folkloric motifs, storytelling & the natural world. Every piece I make is a one off with the intention of becoming an heirloom piece to be treasured.
